As my hubby embarks on his new position/promotion at work, I am left with a lot of time on my hands in the evenings at home... so I have decided to take one room at a time & do a little revamping. Wish me luck!!! Should keep me occupied for a few months... then it will be onto finding something else to keep me busy. I also have a lot of unfinished craft ideas that are taking up space in our spare bedroom. Guess this will also be a great opportunity to complete those.

Organization Nation

Some thing that my husband & I have been bickering about lately is clutter... I try & try & try to not just pile things... but it happens... we moved into our home a little over 2 years ago... but with it being our first home it is taking a little while to get to the point of everything being organized & put away... so that is my goal for this weekend... to get a major head start on ORGANIZATION... & make my spare bedroom available to guests again... so I headed on over to Pinterest where I found a few ideas... I'm kind of excited to see how far I can get with it all this weekend... here are some of the ideas I thought were clever & may attempt to come up with some others myself...

1. Reverse Hanger Trick -  turn all hangers in closet backwards... as you wear an item return it washed to the closet & turn the hanger around... in 6 months time all hangers that have NOT been turned are items that you haven't worn, so you obviously don't need them & they are ready to be DONATED... (now of course as a FEMALE I know we have pieces that have their moments to be worn & that "moment" may not have come up in the past 6 months... but you know those pieces & what you definitely can get rid of)

2. Shelf above the bathroom door... DUH... why I never thought of that on my own is baffling me... but hey I found the idea & now I can execute it!!!

3. A tension rod in the cabinet to hang cleaning bottles from... again another DUH moment for me...

Looks like I will have my hands full this weekend & for the next few weeks until I accomplish all that I want... Kind of EXCITED!!!

The beginning...

I have a goal for this blog truly I do... it will be a process... as I'm sure every one's was... just bare with me & I promise to make The IfFy Life very entertaining... hell u may even learn a thing or 2 from me... as I hope to learn from you!!! ;)

A LITTLE BACKGROUND:

I met my husband in the most unusual circumstance & I couldn't imagine our lives ever being any different... we dated for a few years... decided to buy a house together... got engaged for our housewarming party & married 11 months later... I went from crafting for randomness to crafting for my new house & wedding & now as I still craft for my house I hope to start crafting for others... but I am just a person who likes to take a stab at any project and make it work... so I have hopes for this blog & hopefully I can stick to it... & share some family moments... moments as we venture into many more years of marriage... home projects & crafts...
